Portage British Columbia

The Portage Residential Rehabilitation Program for Adolescents in British Columbia

This is to inform you that the Portage Keremeos centre closed its doors last Thursday, March 5th.  From the time it opened in 2009, the centre helped almost 400 youth turn their lives around and find new hope in the future.

It is with great regret that we announce the end of our operations in British Columbia, but the protracted discussions between Portage and government authorities regarding funding proved fruitless despite our best efforts.

We wish to thank all the people who trusted Portage during the past years and who have been in contact with us directly or indirectly. We are blessed to have had the chance to work with all of you.

If you need help or if a member of your family needs immediate assistance, you can refer to the following helpline, which is available 24 hours a day.

British Columbia
Whistler Region, Lower Mainland and Hope: 211
Other parts of the province: 1-800-663-1441

Thank you very much for your support.
