Fundraising Campaigns
Over the years, the Foundation has successfully organized a number of fundraising activities in order to meet Portage’s growing needs in the provinces where it provides services: Québec, Ontario, Atlantic Canada and British Columbia.
By participating in our fundraising campaigns, you are making a difference and helping Portage to help those who want to overcome substance abuse.
Montréal and Québec City
Every year, men, women, and adolescents who seek the hope of a better life, free from addiction, turn to Portage in order to overcome their drug addiction problems.
In order to successfully continue our humanitarian work, we need you to give generously to Portage’s annual fundraising campaign.
The goal for the 2009-2010 campaign in the Montréal and Québec area is $1.85 million.
In 2008-2009, the annual fundraising campaign in the two regions of Québec raised near than two millions dollars! We would like to thank the campaign committee members in Montréal and Québec City and all our donors to help Portage in its fight to defeat drug addiction.

Portage Atlantic
The Portage Atlantice Foundation raises funds for programs and services that not only improve and benefit the lives of these young people - it has a rippling effect. Families and communities also are affected by the positive outcomes of rehabilitation.
If you like to make a donation to the Making Miracles Happen campaign or to the Portage Atlantic Foundation, or would like more information about these initiative please contact Carol Tracey by email at ctracey@portage.ca.
Ontario
The Portage Elora program is also supported by the Portage Foundation with contributions received from private donors and through special events such as the Fresh Start Fundraising Dinner and Auction.
The target for Portage Ontario’s 2009-2010 Annual Fundraising Campaign is to raise more than $300,000. Funds raised will be used to provide treatment for more youth and families through the Portage Ontario Youth Treatment Fund. The Annual Campaign will support program enhancements such as the Portage Outward Bound Program and the Family and Aftercare Program. British Columbia
In recognition of a lack of long term residential treatment centres for addicted youth in British Columbia, Portage was approached for assistance in 2007 by community organizations From Grief to Action and Central City Foundation (CCF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
The Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health contribute annually to cover operating costs associated with reintegration once the program is completed. CCF has contributed the property and has led the capital fundraising campaign, raising $6.5 million.
